Typical NYC apartment. Perfect for my family of 3. The bathroom is a little shotty and the shower is extremely small and not as nice as the rest of the apartment. You can’t control the heat so it gets really hot and stuffy in the middle of the night. Other than that the apartment is cozy and in a perfect location. It is very clean and again typical ny apartment living.

I had such a wonderful stay at Liz’ apartment. I felt like it was my own. I have loved every second of my trip to New York and it has a lot to do with the hospitality I received from Liz and her husband. The cleanliness, the location, the wonderful books, the Kitchen, the extra towels and linen, the extra blankets, the very fast WiFi and the wonderful personal touches contributed to me having such a phenomenal vacation. I felt so comfortable here. I would love to stay here again. Everything is within walking distance. Groceries, Drug Store, Dry Cleaners, Nails and Massage, Hair Salon, 24hr Diner (2 doors down). There are restaurants and hot night spots no matter where you go. All within walking distance. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I will always remember this trip because of you guys.

We have family in the area and with the lack of reasonably distanced hotels, we rely on AirBnB type places, such as this one, to provide places to stay (which is great). Liz’s place is perfectly nestled on the outside of a residential part of the east side, giving you quick access to necessities (food, drug stores, etc.). Her apartment was very spacious for the two of us and has all that we needed and more. The apartment was a second floor (third floor if you count the ground floor) walk up which was fine, and at the back of the building, which was nice and quiet (no real street noise). We did not cook in the unit, but did find the coffee maker, hair dryer, and iron, a very pleasant surprise! This is our second time staying with Liz and hope to do it again in the future!

Enjoyed my stay at Liz’s Apartment. it The photos are outdated. They need to be updated to reflect the apartment. Location is good to get around, close to navigate Manhattan and Brooklyn. Nice for a few days.

This place was amazing! Great experience New York City with our 3 teenage children. It was clean and had everything we needed. My only small note would be that its not really built for more than 4 people. 5 was really pushing it. There was an air mattress as advertised, but you had to climb over the air mattress to get to the washroom or the kitchen. We are family, but if we had gone with 2 other couples this would not have worked. Other than that, this was a great location, clean, and Liz was great!

It was a very nice stay, the communication was very helpful. Easy check in and overall a great stay.

The appartment its ok and location is great.The bathroom is very little and theres a warning that the flush is not so strong so clogs are frequent and you should solve at your own in that case. The heating was so heavy and opening windows in such a noisy area of New york wasnt a good idea at nights, so theres an issue to fix. The sofa-bed wasnt healthy at all.

This place was located in an amazing area! It was walking distance to both Midtown and the East Village as well as the 6 train. I stayed here for 5 nights with my boyfriend and it was perfect (we cooked in the kitchen as well as ate out in the area). However, the pictures of the living room were out of date (not necessarily a bad thing, the owner just bought new furniture and rearranged it).

Cozy place in a great location. Excellent communication. Perfect for 2 but a bit tight for more. Noisy street. We needed to stay for another 3 hours after check out time and owner was happy to accommodate.

Liz is a great host! Her apartment was perfect for a weekend girl’s trip with five of us staying. It’s a very cozy spot in a great neighborhood, with lots of nearby restaurants, shopping, and other fun things to do. When we had questions Liz answered right away and was extremely accommodating. Although the apartment’s location is excellent and Liz proved to be an efficient host during an uncomfortable situation, the apartment is in reality extremely small and the building in which it is found is old and badly maintained. In our opinion, it is most definitely not meant to house 6 people, barely even 4.

Location was good and movement was smooth. There was supermarket near, and it was easy to move by bus.

Overall good stay but it’s a no frills place. The location is fantastic with the pharmacy across the street and a 24hr diner on the corner. The host, Liz, lives one floor below the apartment so she was quick to respond to questions and issues. The shower gets hot water when turned to the left despite the tag showing that to be cold and water pressure and hot water were plentiful but even when the door is closed you will come out to a wet floor. The bed is firm and the space is cozy but could use a deeper cleaning. For a few days and for the price it’s great. Wifi worked well and the heating once we figured out the radiator needed to be turned on. Overall I say 4 out of 5 stars since the place is very simple and could use a face-lift in the bathroom. The toiled it in a separate teeny room behind the front door separate from the shower with a sink room. The apartment is on the second floor with a narry stairwell but that was fine since we had small luggage. The front door key lock needs to be fixed as it was quite difficult to get into the building door each time. The host is aware and hopefully will take care of these few issues which would make the stay even more pleasurable.

This was a great apartment. It was quiet and everything was perfect. Liz was very accommodating as well. I don’t know why people have said in reviews that it’s small. It’s a New York apartment…all apartments are small in NYC (mine was smaller!), unless you are rolling in the millions. It was bigger than a hotel room and cozier.

Liz was a great host, she communicated very well and responded quickly to messages. The apartment description was accurate, bathroom was extremely small like described but it worked. Location was safe and close to everything, which was the most important to us since we were gone exploring most of the time!

The Bathroom facilities were very small, though this is not completely uncommon for NCY.

Liz’s place was perfect for a busy NYC weekend. Location and communication are great. The beds were very comfortable, shower hot and we did not have any plumbing issues. There were 3 of us but I would not recommend more than that. Bluebell Cafe on 3rd Ave. was an excellent restaurant we randomly picked plus McSwiggin’s Bar next to Airbnb

Excellent location in Manhattan, a few blocks from the Flatiron, in an area with services around it. The apartment is small, especially the bathroom, but for a couple or a family with a child is perfect for a few days. The communication with Liz has been very good, fast, helping in everything we needed, even with a late check-in and a late check-out the last day. 100% recommendable!

The apartment was a true NYC experience. Liz is a wonderful host. Very quick to respond to any questions.

This was a fantastic value and great Airbnb. The unit was clean and tidy as advertised The location was great for what we needed. the owner, Liz, was really great to work with, had prompt and timely responses and May the entire experience seamless.

This is a very small unit, which is definitely not suitable for 6 guests. Appliances and condition are a bit tired and could use a real renovation. Suitable for 4 people max who are looking for a place to crash in a good location.

Liz was great to deal with. Easy to communicate with. Place was at great location. Little loud in the morning. But to be expected staying in New York City and staying on the second floor.

The apartment was clean and small, but very comfortable. It was in a great location and close to a lot of great bars and restaurants! The only problem is that the plumbing was very weak, and there is a sign posted in the bathroom saying that if a clog occurs, the guest is responsible for contacting the plumber. For us, a clog did occur, and we had to call a plumber afer hours, which resulted in an almost $400 bill we were stuck with. The plumber even told me that the water pressure in the building is inadequate, meaning any amount of toilet paper could clog it. We were never informed of this potential issue before we booked, and we feel as if we should have been made aware of this before booking, because now we are out hundreds of dollars more than we were expecting. It was a good place and great location, with that situation being the only downside. Liz was very responsive and helpful, and check in and check out was very easy!

Great apartment in a very convenient location! We used Liz’s apartment as a home base for a girl’s weekend getaway and it was the right size for the three of us, and in a perfect location between lower Manhattan and mid-town. Everything we wanted to do was just a quick cab ride away. The bed and sleeper sofa were comfortable for us and everything was clean. The only thing I would note is that while the bedroom and living room are a good size, the room with the toilet and the room with the sink and shower stall are small. So if you’re claustrophobic you might want to ask for more details before booking. It sort of plays into the stereotype of a city apartment haha. The kitchen really did have what you needed if you wanted to do your own cooking. All you have to do is bring the groceries! But with several good restaurants in the area, you don’t have to. Liz’s communication was great for my preferences – she checked in on us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed, but then left us alone to enjoy our weekend. She was also very quick to respond to the couple questions we had. All in all, we would definitely stay here again!

Great location!

Great location for the price and a lot of places are walking distance. Liz is very responsive as well. My friend and I forgot our keys and didn’t realize it until we got back to the apartment! Thankfully Liz was so responsive and walked us through on getting the spare key to get into the apartment! The place is great but the bathroom can be a little uncomfortable for some of us because it is a little small. The blanket had a odd smell to it so we contacted Liz immediately. The next day she brought us all new blankets. Which we really appreciate it. Besides that we all had a great stay.

Liz’s place is in a great location… East facing windows let in plenty of morning light. The bedroom is quite tight and we opted to sleep separately taking advantage of the sofa bed. The separate washroom and toilet were a bit drab and musty. Several subway stops are reasonably close; Union Square was particularly nice for access to the express cars. Simon & The Whale is an amazing nearby restaurant and we loved Ampersand a block over for drinks.

Spotless and in a great location. Liz was super-responsive to any questions. Guests need to remember NYC apartments are small and the city is noisy. But as a born New Yorker found this to be spacious for a NY one bedroom.

Location is good next to the bus stop. The apartment is on the 1st floor so lot’s of noise coming from the street. We slept with earplugs because of that (and the noisy AC). The place is clean but age starts to show in some places. Liz was a great host and answered always very fast.
