Great location, great communication from the owners. I had requested extra linens prior to arrival, and when they weren’t there, I was given a return call right away and they came by to check on us!
The neighborhood was good and 3-4 blocks from Subway. The apt is on the 2nd floor, so expect a lot of up and downs. 🙂
Deposit returned quickly….
Overall, very happy with the rental.

First, do not be afraid to pay up front via PayPal, it’s not a scam, Liz is trustworthy. Even my deposit was returned within days of our return. She is also very responsive and friendly.
We stayed in 2W which was not on the street side and was suprisingly quiet. Stairs are steep, no elevator. Not a problem you just need to know that you will be carrying your suitcase(s) up stairs. The apt is clean and well provisioned. The bedroom has a double bed. Two of us (friends) comfortably shared it. Living/dining room has a sleeper sofa that would sleep 2, but like most sleeper sofas, I’m not sure how comfortable it would be. We slept one lady on the sofa and she said it was fine. Liz offered an air mattress, we didn’t use it, but it would only fit in the LR without the sofa unfolded. The shower and toilet are separate and clean but tight. If you are bigger than average, it could be uncomfortable. We liked them being separate. There is a full length mirror on the wall between the bedroom and living room so it is convenient for multiple people to primp at the same time. The three of us rotated thru with no issue. Power outlets are sparse (not one in bathroom), might be a good idea to bring an extension cord. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked well equiped. The neighborhood is safe for coming and going at all hours. We never felt threatened in anyway and this was our first trip to NYC. There is an outer locked door on the street, the hall and stairs are well lit and clean and of course the apt door is locked at the handle and with a deadbolt. We heard the other apt occupants, but never saw them. I believe this building has 4 units, 2W, 2E, 3W, and 3E. Plenty of places close by to grab food. Bus stop literally at the outer door. Uber always available within a couple of minutes literally, and the subway is also close. But put on your walking shoes and explore! We found everyone to be friendly and helpful.
Yes, I would stay here again. It is not a five star hotel, but it is affordable, clean, convenient and comfortable.

My partner and I stayed in Liz’ 1E apartment for 10 weeks. It was delightful from start to finish. Sara and partner David were very professional, as well as kind and generous. The apartment is beautifully set-out; modern and welcoming. The living room is large with a great TV with heaps of channels, and a sound system. We bought a cheap cable to connect our iPods to it. The kitchen is well-appointed. The small fridge is no problem as there are grocery stores on all corners, and also a great diner! Great stove. The bathroom is definitely small, but has a full shower, and full basin/vanity unit w mirror. We dried and dressed in the ample sized bedroom and we coped well. Toilet is separate. The bedroom has a ample storage, and there’s a big bookcase in the living room also for storage – and the books provided are great! We were graced with a new mattress as well as new couch and both were fantastic. As it was a long winter, we were grateful for the highly effective heating, and by the end of our stay we had some very hot spring days and the air con was really good! Oh, and we loved the free spring water. Heaps of towels, great sheets and the cleaning service was unlike any I’d ever experienced – I want to bring Rosa to my place! Because we faced the street, it was noisy at times, but really it didn’t affect us as it would back home because the brain adjusts to knowing ‘it’s just NYC’! I swear! Not much noise middle of the night – very quiet neighborhood in that regard. Never heard any noise from the little bar downstairs. The Second Avenue bus is downstairs and subway line 6 is a five min walk away, Union Square multiple lines 10 mins away. No laundry in the apartment but lots of laundromats nearby. We miss our little New York home! Highly recommended.

Lior was great! Flawless communication beforehand and picking up the keys and checking out was super easy and convenient. The apartment is in a great location and felt really safe. There was a grocery store very close, and the kitchen was great for putting together some quick meals. Two of us stayed for 7 days and could have easily stayed for weeks! There was a ‘heat wave’ while we were in NY, 3 days over 90F, and I can personally attest to the efficiency of the AC Unit! Kept the room at a comfortable temperature no matter how hot it got outside. All in all, I really recommend this apartment if you’re coming to New York! We loved our stay.

Hey Lior, everythink ok. you just have to take care about the entrance door. It just feel unconfortable to leave everything in a appartment, when the door is not closing propper. Thanks for having us Stefan

Lior was very responsive and helpful and made special arrangements for our arrival and departure. The apartment is well described in the listing. The location is convenient for midtown/downtown and also easy for getting a cab, bus, or subway. Pretty quiet both day and night. The wifi and TV worked well, and the window AC made a nice difference on a VERY hot day/night. The building is pretty basic, but not bad. The apartment was tidy if not super clean (tolerable, but certainly not spotless). Probably not a honeymoon destination, but on the whole, a good place to stay if you want to be in that part of town, and Lior was great.

Totally functional, spotlessly clean apartment in great location. Lior is a great host and completely responsive and professional. As a guest, be prepared for a bit of street noise and small bathroom. Great deal! Thank you Lior for making it so easy.

Lior was a very nice and helpful host upon arrival and thereafter.. The appartment was very clean and reflected the description, the bathroom was a little bit smaller than expected, The bed was extremly comfortable. It is perfectly located with everything within walking distance – shops restaurants, bus and subway. We will be happy to stay there again in the future.

Lior’s place was really convenient for me and comfy. If you get tired of all NYC has to offer a huge HGTV and 24 hour diner at the corner can handle all your down time needs as well.

Lior was available, pleasant and helpful, responded fast when we called him, and did his best to accomodate our needs. The location of the apartment worked well for us, close to family and to shops, supermarket, restaurants, etc.The apartment was newly painted, has new furnishing, including a sofa bed in the living room, a microwave and new utencils. Its toilet is separate from the batrhoom, a big advantage. It is, however, too small to accommodate three people. There is no window in the bedroom and hardly any counter space in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The mattress needs to be replaced.

The apartment is just as listed, and made for a pleasant base for our 6 days exploring NY from a handy location. Full marks to Lior for being an excellent host, giving us good suggestions, and promptly responding – installing an airconditioning unit within a couple hours of our call was seriously impressive!

Lior was a great host and was very responsive and easy to work with. The apartment is small but for the price it is a great deal. The bathroom is very very very small and not in very good condition. the building is also a bit old but again for the price it is a great deal. I enjoyed my stay there and would reccomend it to no more than two people at a time that just need a place to crash.

Great place to stay while in the city. Apartment was very clean, and well appointed. Bathroom/shower pretty cramped, but that is pretty normal for NYC. Lior was a great host. Very flexible in terms of checkin/checkout. Will definitely stay here again if I am back in this part of the city

Lior was a great host. Though I didn’t meet him in person, he was quick to respond and very accommodating with my check-in and check-out. The apartment is in a great location and a good value. We had table space to spread out and work and huge mirrors to get ready for hitting the city! Was a great home base for our time in NYC.

Lior is an excellent host and made the extra effort to accommodate us. Wifi information and take out menus were nicely organized in a binder. The apartment is in a great location. There is some street noise since it is in the front of the building on the second floor. Overall an excellent value and I would stay here again.

Lior was a great host – responsive to pre-arrival inquiries, available when we arrived in town and throughout the stay, as needed. The notebook of local information was a nice touch. It’s a great location, walking distance to many places (depending on how much walking you want to do). Grand Central, Penn Station, Eataly, Herald Square, Momofuku, Times Square, the East Village, etc., are all easy to access – on foot or by cab, subway, or bus. The apartment is a typical NY apartment, maybe even a bit bigger than expected, and comfortably furnished. We were happy to find clean sheets and towels, a comfortable bed, large closet, and a nice kitchen area. You might find the WC and shower a bit cramped if you’re claustrophobic, but they were clean and there was plenty of hot water. 2nd Avenue is a big, busy street so street noise was no surprise. We did have an issue with late night noise from a neighboring apartment that was addressed after it was brought to Lior’s attention – which was much appreciated!

Lior was friendly, helpful, and our stay was great. Check in/check out was smooth and easy. The apartment is in a great location. Kitchen, bedroom, and living room are nice. The space was definitely a bit too tight for four of us, and bedroom and living room are not private. Thus, I’d recommend this apartment more for 2 people Bathroom was also cramped, and its where you notice the age of the building. That said, this is acceptable for a NY City apartment, and I recommend this place highly. Neighborhood is a lot of fun, and it felt safe at all hours. The local bar – McSwiggins – was fun and is well worth checking out one night!

The apartment was very nice and clean with updated furnishings. Don’t expect a huge space, but it was enough for what I needed it for. You’re visiting New York, after all…you should really only need a place with a bed to crash. Lior was a thoughtful host and provided essential amenities, including towels and spare sheets. He was very flexible with our check-in/out times. I would recommend this place if you plan to stay mainly in the LES area.

I had a great stay at Lior’s Gramercy gem. He was great about check in and check out times. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and convenient to the subway (two blocks on a very picturesque walk). The bathroom is kinda French with the toilet separate from the sink & shower.
